Vineyards At Southpoint in Durham, North Carolina. This is a really cool winery and a great place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. The owner is very friendly and knowledge and the wines are very tasty here. If you have a young child, don’t hesitant to bring your child here. This winery has toys and a big pond and deck out back.

Chardonnay at Vineyards at Southpoint
The 2006 Chardonnay, by far my favorite wine at this winery. If this wine is included on the wine tasting menu the day you visit, I highly recommend you try this white wine first. If you’re a fan of white wines they have do five other you can also try.
If you’re into Reds they have a total of eight reds. One of the most popular Red wines here is a red blend name Prestige and they also have a very tasty Merlot.
They also have four different dessert wines.
The wines at Southpoint are crafted in small lots to ensure the highest possible quality.
They also have a wine club you can join. Being a member of the club gets you discounts on wines and special events, special wine offers and more! Definitely worth checking-out.
Wine tasting is Thursday – Sunday from noon to 6 P.M.
This is a chance to sample some very good wines. They have many gold medal winners, even double gold wines.
Not all wines they make are included on their tasting menu, their menu changes from time to time.
At times they include wines from another winery “Horizon Cellars” on their tasting menu.
- Wine and food pairing every 3rd Sunday of the month.
- Wine and cheese pairing events.
