Eagle Fork Vineyards

After years of dreaming, Eagle Fork Vineyards, finally became a reality for the owners.  The grand opening was on July 4th, 2012. This winery had such a great feeling on its grand opening. The video is below.

I prefer to give each winery a rating, out of five stars. But with new wineries, I have decided to make it a rule to wait before I give a rating.

If I gave Eagle Fork Vineyards now, only based on there grand opening, the rating would be close to 5/5 stars. This wouldn’t be fair to you the customer

I’ll wait for a year or so after they first opened and making at least one more visit to the vineyard and talking to current customers before deciding the rating Eagle Fork Vineyards really does deserve.

Now check out the video, I do think this winery has great potential.

I have a stupid question to ask you. I really do expect an answer from you. The question is, “Does playing music to plants really make plants grow better?”.

I’ve heard this before, have you?

I have wondered if there was even a kernel of truth to this.

Finally, I actually heard a logical explanation at Eagle Fork Vineyards.

The answer wasn’t what I thought it would be, music doesn’t have a direct effect on plant growth, rather the vibrations produced by music helps drive away or disrupt the insects that would otherwise feed on the plants. Less bugs preying on the plant, means great plant growth.

You may be wondering about the wines you can find here… They grow 9 different varieties of grapes on their land. At the grand opening their were a couple wines I liked, I saw know complaints from others. But this winery has not named or listed its wines. Hopefully by spring they will.

From what I have tasted at their grand opening, there should be some quality wines in the near future being produced here.
