What cause is this event supporting

Meals on Wheels is being supported by the ”Taste of Wrightsville Beach” event!!!

The Meals on Wheels organization has been around for a long time. I can remember all the way back to the 1980′s as a kid visiting my great-grandma and hearing, “meals and wheels is coming”, mentioned in conversation with her and my parents.

My great-grandmother has been deceased for quit a long time now. As a kid then, I understood this organization brought meals not only to my great grandmother but also a lot of other housebound elderly people as well. This is really important.

And you know what? I am somewhat a pessimistic person when it comes to supporting, giving money to organizations which claim to be “charitable”. There are so many scams.

But as I said, I have know about meals on wheels since I was a little boy visiting my great-grandmother’s house in the 1980′s, now its 2014 and I can’t recall hearing any negative press about this organization in 30 sum years.
