World of Beer in the North Hills of Raleigh

A little friendly advice from me to you…  If you’re happy drinking yellow water: aka, Bud Lite, Budweiser or Coors, the list is endless! If you’re happy drinking these domestic waters, then don’t visit World of Beer in the North Hills of Raleigh.

As the word, “World”  in its name implies, this bar is the top spot for intentional beers in the Raleigh area. And I don’t think I would be going too far if I said this bar is probably one of the number #1 spots for international beers within the USA!!!World of Beers Raleigh

There’s a map at the end of the page in case you need directions to this establishment on Six Forks rd.

What you will find here:

  • About 60 different beers on draft, which are rotated weekly.
  • Around 500 different bottled beers from dozens and dozens of different countries and also some very good micro-breweries in the USA.
  • They also have a lot of wines from different regions of the world.
  • A selection of choice Cigars.  I’m not too big into the cigar scene, I think you will need to smoke these out on the patio. But I could be wrong you may have to wait till you get home to enjoy these treats.

You will also find a lot of  TVs at this bar, probably more TVs than you have ever seen in your life.

Well, probably not as many TVs as BEST BUY. But still a lot!!! You will definitely be able to catch most anything on the tube at World of Beers.

How is the food here?

Actually, you will not find a food menu at the World of Beer. I was a little disappointed when I found this out. But there’s is a great solution.

There’s the option to order food from the many different restaurants located nearby. And these restaruants will actually deliver your order to the World of Beers.

Do they have shots?

If you’re looking for a bar where you can also get a shot of liquor this is not the bar for you. You will not find Jack or Jose here. But there is a bar right next door where you can get a shot or three and then come back to the World of Beer.

The first time I visited here was with a group of people from Raleigh that I met online. The name of this Club is, Raleigh Happy Hour Club. You can follow the link and join all the fun this club has visiting different bars in the Raleigh area.

Capital Club 16

Many features of the Capital Club 16 in Raleigh can’t be matched by any other restaurants in the city. One being, the intriguing architecture provided by the historical building in which it’s located in. The video below does a excellent job reviewing this restaurant.

Another is provided by the intrinsic skills of the owner, who is both a professionally chef and a 6th generation butcher from New York City. Looking for a great steak?!? Or maybe you would prefer the “catch of the day”?

Ever had Lobster Mac and Cheese? The menu here is both intriguing and delicious!

This restaurant is located at the corner of Salisbury and Martin in Raleigh NC. I forgot to mention, this is also a full bar making Capital Club 16 not only a great place for lunch and dinner but also a great place to hang out and grab a few drinks with friends. Need directions? There’s a map below which can supply these from your specific location.

Are you a wine drinker? If so, I’m sure you can agree with the following. I can’t stand drinking from a bottle of wine that has been open more than 24 hours prior, the refrigerator can only do so much to slow the oxidation. This is where I need to give bonus points to this restaurant.

If you order a glass of wine, you bet its being poured from an uncorked bottle. Now that I think of it Capital Club 16 always has outstanding service!!!

A couple other extras found here is this restaurants also has host events, you can find their page that lists their upcoming events here.

This restaurant also serves as a great option to cater your own private events various from wedding rehearsal dinners to ladies night out and everything in between. I believe they provide both onsite and offsite catering for private events.
