Wine

The 1861 Farmhouse is definitely a lot more than a winery it also serves as a great restaurant. Since the main focus of this site is wineries I will put the wine before the food but if you are interested in dinning here, you can view the 1861 Farmhouse Restaurant menu.

Find both traditional White and Reds wines here.

White Wines. At the time of writing this there were 5 different white wines at the Farmhouse. They range in price from $20 – 27/bottle. Two of the white wines “THE HOUSE” and “River Run” were medal winner at the prestigious, Mid-South Atlantic Wine Competition.

” THE HOUSE” is a Chenin Blanc and Viognier Blend that won double gold for best in category.

Red Wines. At the time of writing this there were also 5 different Red Wines at the 1861 Farmhouse. These wines vary in price between $20 and $29 per bottle. And just like the White wines there are two special award winning North Carolina Red wines here also.

  • Boulder Shadow – Gold in the 2012 Mid-South Atlantic Wine Competition. Tastes of Chocolate and Cherries.
  • Victoria’s Vale – This is a blend wine. Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Double Gold in 2012 North Carolina State Fair and SILVER Medal in Mid-South Atlantic Wine Competition.
